Enjoys most: We both love it especially Ebony as she regards the visits as her job and feels very responsible to entertain her Nannies & Pas. Our facility is a Nursing Home overlooking a lake, not only does Ebony enjoy her friends but she loves to look at the view of the lake from the windows.

Dog enjoys: Ebony’s highlight of the day is visiting one of our Pas who saves her scraps, as soon as we enter the building Ebony makes a bee line for his room. He gets thanked graciously by a nudge and a lick. She has a chat with him by wagging her tail and smiling. Another favourite of Ebony’s is a blind lady and when she first met her Ebony realised that the lady could not see, so she always goes to her pushes her skirt up a little so she can lick her on the leg, letting her know she is there

Reaction: Not only do the residents love Ebony but so do the staff. Many of them come and give her a pat and she sniffs out the dog lovers by the smell of their own dogs on them. The residents always have big smiles or says how beautiful she is and she goes around them all for a pat or a hug. Sometimes I give the residents a piece of liver treat to give Ebony but I have to keep a close watch as sometimes the old dears try to eat it themselves

I think that Delta Pet Partner is a wonderful way to give back to the society of the elderly as they have made this country the way it is today and they need and deserve recognition for their achievement.
