Weekend Seminar

Dog Behaviour and Training

This seminar is suitable for and open to anyone who loves dogs and wants to learn the latest information about their behaviour and the most humane and scientifically proven methods to train and manage them.
Whether you are a novice dog owner or you already have extensive experience in training dogs, there will be information to extend and excite you. To assist your learning, many practical examples will be provided using photos and videos – you are not required to bring your dog.

However, if you require an assistance dog to attend a seminar with you, you will need to provide Delta Society Australia Limited with documentary evidence that your assistance dog has been assessed and/or certified as such by an approved/certified assistance dog training organisation in the state in which you attend the seminar. The documentary evidence must be provided along with your registration form. This certification will then be provided to the seminar venue. Any decision to allow an assistance dog to maintain attendance at a seminar will be made by the venue provider.

These two day seminars will cover topics including:
  • Introduction to the Delta movement and its programs
  • The human animal bond
  • Animal behaviour and training
  • Dog behaviour
  • How dogs learn
  • Equipment for dog training and management
  • Enriching the lives of dogs
  • Responsible ownership – managing your dog’s behaviour
On completion of the seminar, Delta will issue you with a Certificate of Attendance.
