Help us to bring joy in 2024!

Here at Delta Therapy Dogs we’ve been working hard to make sure we can continue to bring joy during a time that has challenged us all in different ways.

While we’ve all braved the same storm, our experiences have differed which makes our purpose to connect with each other and bring joy more important than ever in 2024.

We’ve mobilised our staff and volunteer Therapy Dog teams to remain safe and united so that we can continue to meet the needs of our communities around Australia. We’ve also connected with and grateful for our amazing volunteers, partner facilities, sponsors, organisations, and individuals who have supported our work over the year.

As an organisation who provides animal assisted services all around Australia, every helping paw and ounce of support goes a long way to keep our programs available to those who need it most.

Here are a few ways you can continue to help us bring joy in 2024!

1. Volunteer with us

Our 1,000 volunteers and their dogs help us to provide our animal assisted services to program beneficiaries in Delta's partnering schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, youth services, mental health services, correctional facilities, and other health and community services right across Australia. Find out more about volunteering here.

2. Tell a friend or colleague about our services

Our animal assisted services reach Australians wherever Therapy Dogs are welcome. If you think a facility, organisation, school, or university could benefit from a friendly paw-shake that only a Delta Therapy Dog can bring, be sure to share information about our Therapy Dogs, Paws the Pressure, Classroom Canines, and Dog Safe programs.

3. Follow us on online

You can find Delta Therapy Dogs online and support our work by following us on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. Like and share our posts and make your corner of the internet full of #mydeltadog joy!

4. Leave a review

Have you met a Delta Therapy Dog and experienced the joy only our teams can bring? It is such a unique and special moment meeting a Delta Therapy Dog while at hospital, at uni or school, and at work – for many it is a welcome interruption during a challenging time and allows you to be present and remember that things do and will get better. If you’ve had a good experience, please do tell us all about it or share your experience with a review online!

5. Make a donation

As an organisation who provides animal assisted services without government funding, every helping paw and ounce of support goes a long way to keep our programs available to those who need it most. Delta Therapy Dogs is a registered charity and all donations $2 and more are tax deductible.
